I'm still here

The summer has come and almost gone. It seems to move by so fast sometimes. I've neglected this little place, mostly because work has been a chore and I haven't had the time. We've got some new staff around here, so maybe I can coordinate blogging back into my schedule (after all, soccer season has begun!)

So what have you missed.... JJ's 10th birthday!





He's a lucky kid to have a summer birthday! We had a day full of fun filled activities. We opened presents first thing in the morning, we had lunch with friends, and then we had a party on the lake!

JJ decided he wanted to invite from friends out on his Step-Dad's boat. We loaded up 4 10 year olds, 4 adults and 2 ski-doos and headed out.

Do you think he's having any fun?

I'm so lucky to have such a great kid. I can't believe he's already 10 years old! He's getting into some tween behaviors. The attitude sneaks out every now and then. And eye roll makes an apperence occassionally. We're stuck right now between little boy and little man. Don't grow up too fast JJ!

Woody Is 3

I can't believe its already been 3 years since we got Woody (well technically we got him at 8 weeks, but he's been alive for 3 years). He's been a wonderful addition to the family. I love coming home and seeing him peeking out of the window and then running around to meet me at the door, his entire butt wiggling from excitement.

JJ loves a good party and why shouldn't Woody get to celebrate his special day. There is a really cute Pet Speciality shop in downtown called the Barkery Bistro. I stopped last week and got Woody some treats for his party.

Happy Birthday Sweet boy!

Party like its your birthday

No new birthdays to celebrate... just a little less than a month till Gene's and a little less than two till mine... but this weeks theme at Simplicty is all about Birthdays!

JJ loved his birthday. Two weeks after he was still asking if there were any cards in the mail for him. Ahh....to be a kid again.

Here is one of my favorites from his birthday. We tricked him with trick candles. He'll never think of candles the same away again!

JJ is nine today!

He's not a little boy anymore. He's not the kid pointing out Hummers or Big Rigs. He's not the kid wanting to read the Bunny book for the millionth time.

He's into iCarly, Legos, and books with more than 100 pages.

It was a weekend long celebration for him. I guess that's how it works with the modern family. He had his party with his friends last night. 3 other boys joined him at the pool for a little splish splash and pizza.
