Sweet New Kicks

JJ needed some new soccer cleats. He's growing so fast, its hard to keep up. His feet are now bigger than mine!

Anyway, he went with his mom to pick out a new pair. He was so excited to show me what he picked. He made me turn my back and close my eyes as he put them on to model for me. I've never seen him so in love with something before. Its the cutest thing, ever!

They must have been a good pick because he scored a goal during their debut game! For me though, at least now when I look back, I can differentiate seasons because of shoes!

Are you sick of soccer yet... hehehehe... it just started... we've got at least 2 more months!
I didn't feel like I got a lot of great shots this past Saturday. My BFF and her son came by to watch and we ended up chit-chatting a lot of the time. I wasn't as focused on the game as I was last week.

Red

Red is JJ's favorite color. Always has been. Bright Red. He wanted us to paint his room red, but we compromised with red stripes on blue walls. (And then we painted the kitchen red).

Anyway, this week's theme over that the Paper Mama is Red. I conveniently left a photo out of the Brevard trip revue, because I wanted to unveil it here, for this topic.

Friends

This weeks theme at the Paper Mama is all about friends. I've shared this photo before, but I wanted to enter is because it shows the fun JJ has with his best friends. This was from his birthday party this summer (also, this photo makes me want warmer weather bad!).



The boys had so much fun swimming in the pool. They didn't want to get out to eat pizza or cake. JJ just about cried when it was time for everyone to go home. Ahh.. to be a kid again!

Orange

Does Paper Mama know that's what color my blood runs? How did she know?!? Hahaha... Can you tell I'm excited for college football to start?

Her theme this week is orange, and I happen to have the perfect photo of Woody sporting his Game Day colors.



So we are a house divided at our house. Half of Woody's game day gear is orange and the other is garnet. He just happened to look at me from the orange side, go figure... we know which team his likes!

More Water

The Paper Mama this week has decided to go with the Water theme. I have tons of water photos. JJ in the pool, JJ in the river, fountains from Charleston, Fountains from Greenville. I went with this photo from JJ's birthday party. I just love that all the boys are having such a fun time. Who knew water could be so fun!

Buddies

This week's theme at The Paper Mama is buddies.

What's better than a boy and his dog. JJ has always had a dog. While the house was underconstruction, Gene, JJ and their dog Aspen lived with Gene's parents. Once construction was done, Gene, JJ and I moved into the house. Aspen had become accustomed to her new home and her new friend Rocky, so we let her stay there. From that moment on, JJ started asking for a dog of his own.

Finally, at the end of school in 2008, we got JJ a dog. Gene and I did some research. We knew what breed we wanted, and we were lucky enough to find a breeder right in our own backyard.

Woody came home and him and JJ have been best buds ever since.

Absolute Fav!

This weeks theme at the Paper Mama is your absolute fav. How are you suppose to narrow it down to just one?!?

I love all my photos. I love that my photos remind me of great memories. I love that my photos can tell a story. I want my photos to share the emotion I felt when I took the photo.

Lately, this is my favorite photo.

This IS Woody. He's inquisitive. (He's looking at a ball over my head). He loves the water. He's always cheerful.

Woody is my first dog. I never had a dog growing up. My parents got a dog once I moved out. I never knew having a dog could be so much fun. I can't tell you how exciting it is to come home, even from just going up the street to the store, and Woody is excited to see you. Like Tail-Wagging, jumping in circles, happy to see you.

I love this dog and this is my favorite photo of him.

Speaking of Action

The lovely Paper Mama has decided to make a theme after my own heart this week! Action!

Now the hard part is what photo to choose. There are so many... JJ playing soccer, JJ playing baseball, JJ just playing. But, this challenge is dedicated to the action of my sweet pup!

Woody is our fantastic Frisbee catching Border Collie! This is him competing in a local frisbee dog competition. He's still a rookie, but watch out. In the next few years, I think Woody will be a winner.

Make Me Laugh- Take 2

If you saw the first post, dang you're quick. I apparently didn't read the directions correctly, so I'm re-doing my entry for Paper Mama's Make me laugh photo challenge.

The cute cow I had posted, that gave JJ and I lots of laughs is not my child or pet, so it can't be included. Bummer. But, I do have this photo from vacation that gave Gene and I laughs.



This is sibling rivalry. JJ was upset that Woody had just splashed him. JJ's little hissy fit that insued was cute and Gene and I couldn't help but laugh. Its karma kid!
